For the record, I can't stand our O.

    I really can't.

It's just, why would Miles change now?

    Why?

He WILL get a new OC, but it will be an OC of his style. That much I am sure.

That's a fact jack. Miles is going nowhere. Shouldn't be fired obviously but we would never be able to payout his contract if it was even a coherent option. We know this. This isn't Austin or gump u.

Even if miles brought in June jones and drew brees was eligible at qb we would line up with a fullback and a blocking tight end or two most of the time. That is until it's too late. Then he'd adjust. That's how he rolls.

And there is nothing wrong with this style of play as long as it .................................works! When IT IS OBVIOUS to ANYONE watching LSU play, that what they are trying to do does not work, then do SOMETHING else!!! This next game will show us what Miles has chosen to do for the season.

Miles assumes everything is ok as long as you win. This sounds like a logical conclusion to anyone sober. But the devil is in the details. If you actually have seen a football game at any point in your life that person can see lsus offense has been an issue for a long time...in the passing game. And as in any productive passing game there is a rhythm and timing to it that has to be nurtured. Not as a last resort.

Sure we may come out and throw 3 straight passes to open a game. Big shit. Doesnt mean anything. If it fails you don't bail. Establish a few screens and short passes to get in the flow of the game, develop some qb confidence and by god, one day you may have a guy who can throw for 200 yards. And schembechler would still be proud. Les' homage would still be safe.

I never have once called for Miles to be fired. I want a new offensive coordinator. Florida's OC was sure impressive, how he was shutdown in the first half, was able to change things up, and confuse our defense.

You and I rarely agree about Miles, but at least you can critique, rather than rant and criticize.

But, Miles needs to get his head out of his ass as far as our offense goes. On that, I can definitely agree.

Something's gotta break for us in a positive way. We just can't be this bad on offense. Between injuries to the OL and WR's that have the dropsies, there is talent on this team -- we saw it the UW game. I recall reading after the spring game that Mett was developing great chemistry with WR corps. I realize that subpar pass protection can change things; it's up to the coaching staff to come up with some sort of alternate plan. Seems to me that running some wildcat with RS in the backfield, or playing Bolden to change the look would help...
