If the current governor would be pushing for more money they’d be behind that. I don’t care that he’s talking about it, it’s just very annoying that he’s so wrong. How can he not see it? As far as having no affect on our hiring procedures, I think that’s naive. It’s not directly in his wheelhouse, but LSU Football is unofficially a very political entity. The governor should care as it’s one of the most public displays of LA. Also, not necessarily against buying people out, but not making a splash OC hire was kind of deflating. I still thought the whole purpose of hiring the grizzled HC was to navigate the volatility of hot (mostly younger) coordinators. I’ve accepted that E might do good and am in a holding pattern, but it was still a blasé hire.
I didn't even know jbes party affiliation. I wasn't arguing against salaries or buyouts last week or prior. Everyone did argue that Oeaux doesnt deserve one. Completely different argument. you guys? I don’t agree with the Saban CEO getting paid 30 million thing. He wouldn’t be a CEO he would be a manager of a certain department. The CEO would be the chancellor.
I agree with you I don't think he could lead a group of equally talented people which is a key component of executive leadership.
