We Overachieved in 2018

Well buddy if that's the case then there were a lot of sad days for the 10 other SEC teams that can't seem to beat Saban. One slips up every now and then and catches Saban on a bad day and beats him but that's about it. Funny thing is when one of those teams beats Bama we usually beat the team that beat Bama. Who in the hell do you think we are? Because we have the name LSU we should be undefeated every year? Are we the only state with great HS talent? Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Texas are more populous states and have as much or more football talent than we do. The SEC teams in those states also spent a lot of money on damm good coaches. No it's a sad day when some LSU fans can't see just how good last season was under the circumstances we had to deal with last year stated in my thread. No it's a sad day when some here think the Messiah (Brady) is finally here and that all we have to do is pass more and and walah we are undefeated. The two teams that played for the NC last year didn't run anything on offense that we didn't run they simple had better players than us. Yes oh my God those two teams believe in a strong running game and oh my God they believe in the dreaded 3 YARDS AND A CLOUD OF DUST when they need to. Oh yes we need a MODERN offense that's the ticket. If you have the right players any offense will work even yes drum roll please 3 YARDS AND A CLOUD OF DUST. In 1975 Texas A&M came into Tiger stadium and ran the Wing T offense an offense from the Knute Rockney era and destroyed us. The Wing T they ran usually had one WR or 2 at most throughout the whole game. I saw I was there.

Bama and Clemson beat 99% of those teams with the so called MODERN offenses. Until we get players that fit the scheme we are running, and we are starting to do that, than you will always be sad. Maybe one or two here at the beginning of last season thought we would wind up with 8 wins or 9 wins at the very best. Most thought we would go 7-5 and certainly no one here thought we would wind up in a New Years day bowl and # 6 in the final polls, did you?

Which 'Top 6 teams' are you talking about? 14 qbs listed, Burrow was last place. I'd bet Mulllen isn't running around yapping about finishing #6 in his first season. Ole Miss bowl games & final rankings? That's more meaningless stats, isn't it, fake Grandpa?

Well youngster even ole grandpa understands your post better than you do. You listed the 14 SEC teams with QB's who had better passing percentages than Burrow. The top six teams with the best passing percentages LSU beat all of em. Bama was rated # 7 in passing percentage yet beat everybody in the SEC. Ole Miss had the best passing percentage 76% yet was 1-7 in the SEC. So who cares about statistics I care about wins. If LSU was running the freaking wishbone offense and going 14-0 I could care less about passing stats. Yep Mullin aint bragging about ending up # 6 in the nation bacause he can't.

One can argue we overachieved with field goals. That was some kicker we had last year. Scored more by himself than Georgia did. Kinda reminds me of the last time we beat the gumps.

Here a news bulletin Ahhh we beat Georgia. Last time I looked it was the final score at the end of the game that decides who won not statistics. Bama's passing statistics were worst than 6 other SEC teams yet won the SEC.

As for Mullen's Gators, the Coaches Poll says #6, plus they beat us. There are only 2 polls, Coaches & AP. UPI fell by the wayside long ago, fake Grandpa.

We beat all of em we played is what I meant. Also no doubt in my mind we would have beaten the other 3. You can have your 1-7 Ole Miss team with great passing stats I will take our 10-3 team. Well proffessor explain why Bama's passing statistics are below 6 SEC teams yet they won the SEC. Notice you didn't talk about that.

Oh really Brady has some grapes? In which game as a coach at LSU did you see witness those grapes? Ole Miss coaches have grapes but a 1-7 record in the SEC. Grapes are for making wine and raisins not smart winning football. Wins mean everything not stats.
