I'm not saying that we should run the ball on every down, but we should run it on the vast majority of downs. We should run to set up the pass and not vice versa. The play action just doesn't work either. Besides, every time we were running the ball with effectiveness, we were gaining momentum and had every opportunity to beat UGA. They had no answer for #32. Okay, 14 of those points came when UGA had already started warming up the bus. They quit playing football, and each big play came from a long screen pass, not a well thought out game plan that had the team marching down the field. Williams had a 66 yard reception and was pushed out of bounds at the 3 before scoring a play or so later, and LaFell scored with a 43 yard screen pass for a TD. That's 100+ yards at the end when UGA didn't even care. Crowton may be an asset, but he's putting more on Lee's shoulders than he's capable of. Scott can handle the load. Lee can't. Had the defense played better, we would have won, but there were several times were the offense could have kept the momentum and the crowd in the game, and they gave it away. LSU's D didn't suck the WHOLE game either (but most). If the offense capitalized off of the stops (remember the punts by UGA?), it would've been different, but that's what's bad about the "what if's." We'll never know. Both sides have issues and they need to fix 'em quick.
