bob knight is a legendary coach who might be a hot head but is still one of the greatest basketball coaches ever. but at this point i'd rather have trent johnson than knight.

I hate Bob Knight as much as I love the 86-87 LSU team. Bob should have been T'ed up again and tossed out of the game which is referenced below. There is no questioning Bob's basketball IQ, but he is a complete jack@$$ as he averages about one very embrassing event a year.

March 22, 1987: After being assessed a technical foul, Knight bangs his fist on the scorer's table during Indiana's NCAA tournament game against LSU. The university was fined $10,000 by the NCAA and Knight received a reprimand. Hoosiers go on to win the game 77-76 en route to their 1987 NCAA title.

I used to hate that "because he is Bobby Knight" excuse. He used to get away with some pretty crappy stuff.

If he would've been assessed a technical foul the game might've turned out differently.
I realize its a long shot but maybe Dale Brown's Tigers win a championship that year.
After all they would've beaten the team that won it that year.
It makes me totally sick to think that if it was anyone else coaching a technical foul would've been called.
I think the refs were intimidated by Knight!:angryfire

...and the Final Four was where that year?...NEW ORLEANS!!!

After that tirade the refs were intimidated and everything went Indiana's way. LSU was in control prior to that.

I don't care how well he coaches or if he was nice to someone for a few moments when they met him...the guy is a world class jerk and should never be allowed in the PMAC much less be considered as an employee of Louisiana State University!

Screw you Knight! I don't need to wait until you're dead to kiss your a$$. You can kiss mine now!

It would never happen. Red isn't one of LSU's colors. ;)
