that it's an absolute non-issue, because Trent Johnson is doing an outstanding job and has more shelf-life than a 68-year-old hot head.

 

I prefer the Trent Johnson hire in that he is a coach in the prime of his career, not a has-been living off his name, which is essentially what Knight was at Texas Tech and would be a Georgia too. Knight might bring some short-term attention and buzz to a program, but I don't like him as a hire for a program looking to build for the future. LSU did the right thing; Johnson could easily stay 10-15 years if things go well.

 

Maybe one day we'll be as good as Texas Tech was with him...

 

Thats the most stupid thing I ever heard. I'm glad we do have people with some smarts when it comes to hiring

I don't care for Bob Knight and I wouldn't want him running the program.o:
I am very happy with Trent Johnson but I just couldn't resist posting that!:lol:

We have a basketball coach. We have a football coach. Both are great just where they are (with us).
