Really? I don't like him making any throwing motion. Shepard had a better pass then JJ has had all year. Also after that fumble, I don't know that I like him in goal line situations either. That's the one place you HAVE to hold onto the ball. Much better to give it to a RB with both hands on the ball.
Im beginning to think that opposing teams are only preparing J-Lee and our running game, its obvious to THE WORLD that J-Lee is the only REAL QB Threat we have! I am sure they will still go over how to contain JJ if he came in the game, but I dont see opposing teams spending a lot of time on how to stop him.
JJ will start and test the defense's ability to stop the run. Lee will come in on series 3 and throw the ball. The rest of the game depends on what happens those 1st 3 series. I think we'll see some new wrinkles with JJ.
Correct. With JJ in the game, LSU runs for less than 3 yards per carry. With Lee in the game, we are well over 5 yards per carry. Excellent post, btw.
The thread title would have been more appropriately titled "We can't afford to play Jefferson", which speaks more to the horrible results for LSU when he is in the game.
I'm just hoping that Jefferson comes back for his senior year and not declare for the NFL draft after this season !!! :yelwink2: (This little pump of sunshine is dedicated to LSUTiga lol)
Perhaps some Wild Tiger, or even a Russell Shepard throw is in the offing? I suppose this game would be the appropriate time to do this. :geauxtige
