I guess the statement "of disappointing season" that he said went right by some. Or maybe it is that some would rather be negative at all costs that they choose not to connect the dots.
I always wear my LSU gear every day, hat shirt, both sometimes. the thing is I am never ashamed to wear LSU. As I am sure you aren't either. I dont hide from the truth though. the other thing is EVEN if Id wanted to abandon my team as a fan, I couldnt because I really dont have any other shirts or hats that Dont have LSU on them. My whole office is drenched in Purple and Gold and news articles from Pistol Pete to last years NC headlines. I have arranged my life where there is NO possible way I could deny my Tigers. people would laugh at me if I did. SO i just wear a little black somewhere when they lose. a greivance gesture. I would get zero respect for being a fair weather fan among all these big ten people. They look to see if you still support your team through think and thin. I would support the Tigers and wear my colors regardless of our record. We are honest about our discussions though. if you stink up a game, well hey you can either admit it or look dumb. Being a good fan is learning how to stay with your team, support them and wear their colors and still be able to look the enemy in the eye and say, Yes you got us this year, but that is ONE year out of 6 and what do you have for us next year? We will be ready for you. :geaux:
