Re: We are going to get raped in the SEC again Right on the money!!!! Now we need to show what we really got. Vandy is the perfect place to start.
I am not all that disappointed. Yes, it did not look good for us for UW to drive 80 yards on the first drive and score a TD, but here me out. For one, that team was hungry and wanted a better beginning than last year for their home town. We got their best shot...remember, what is better than beating a National Champion one year removed. Second, it was a long way away from home for our Tigers, that plays a big role, not to mention that little 20 hour rule. The Huskies have not started class yet. Third, that was not the same team that went 0-12 last year. Their QB and RB did not play much last year due to injuries and that team is very talented in their skilled positions. Fourth, new coaching and no one had any game film on them. That makes it hard for anyone to game plan for. Reason being, I'm going to cross over to the NFL for a second, look at the Dolphins from last year or when the Saints first get a new coach. And, most of those coaches came from great programs. Overall, I am not worried; however, if we struggle next week I may change my mind.
Re: We are going to get raped in the SEC again Not even one "Chief"? Is it still Lent or something.
Mark it down...U-Dub will see the top 25 this year and contend for the Pac...although I don't think they will beat USC. Don't act like it's not possible. LSU 1999: 2-8. 2000: 8-4. Saints 2005: 3-13. 2006: one game away from the Superbowl. Dolphins 2007: 1-15. 2008: 15-5. Combine that with the travel and the underestimation of their opponent and you get sloppy play. U-Dub exectued offensively where we did not defensively. It happened. Get over it. We still won despite that. Besides...we have the offensive firepower to just outscore everybody this year!
Re: We are going to get raped in the SEC again it seems like if the tigers had not scored with tolivers two long plays but with two long sustained drives you would have a different opinion. that seems a bit strange.
I decided to read this thread just to get it off my front page. There was only one post mentioning that we actually did win the game: And that was by an Auburn fan.
