Re: We are going to get raped in the SEC again I had a feeling Miles was conservative with the offensive game plan, and tried to ease young Jefferson into the season; people tend to forget that he only had very limited game time experience so far. Don't want to shot up the young QB's confidence while he is gaining game experience. The Tigers last night played against an inspired team with nothing to lose; I think when you play any team (and they do have talent) that is mentally jacked up, it becomes a new ball game regardless of their last year's misleading record. Sure took everyone by surprise; and the Tigers had a good learning experience.
With regards to Miles' and Crowton's conservative game plan for Jefferson : I think that at all costs they were trying to not ask JJ to do too much so that his confidence wouldn't be decimated. They both learned a lot from the Jarrett Lee situation last year. I think they must have wanted to do just what was necessary to win. (Obviously neither one of them wagers on the games, nor do they correlate their self worths with how well we maul the opponent. .)
First, thanks to whomever changed the "r" word to "mauled." That was a bit much... Second, this was the opening game of the season (with a new DC and an inexperienced QB), on the road in what proved to be more of a challenge than anyone here anticipated. To come out with a W is what you want; it doesn't matter how ugly it may have been. Sure, we need to work on some things; however, we did a lot of things right as well. Not to rehash the many posts; I think LSU will be just fine when all is said and done. :geauxtige
Exactly!:thumb: And, we have better athletes on both sides of the ball than AT LEAST 9 of the teams on our schedule. Florida, 'Bama and Georgia are the exceptions. Georgia don't have a QB and they just lost their starting Left Tackle for the season. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
just my dos centavos, but I wouldn't be sweating anything just yet. i still don't perceive UW to be in the same class as LSU, athletically speaking. Traveling to the west coast is a demanding trip, and it was of little surprise to me to see this game finish close. A win is a win.
Re: We are going to get raped in the SEC again Of course he is. Tebow only won the Heisman and 2 NCs and 2 SEC Championships. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse then I read your stupid drivel.
Anyone that thought going into UDub was going to be easy, doesn't watch any football outside the SEC.
Re: We are going to get raped in the SEC again Stupid drivel should be real easy for you to recognize. :insane:
Re: We are going to get raped in the SEC again He didn't do it alone. Tebow is a better athlete in a better football program. Locker is a better quarterback.
