This is a young LSU team that should get better. However the LSU pitchers only have one pitch, right down the middle. They will have to improve to get over the hump. Beth needs to build on this season with great recruiting and better coaching. Close, but no cigar.

Trying too hard not to lose rather than just twisting the knife.

I disagree. It's what allows small ball, base running, and slappers to all be part of the game. Hitting the long ball happens, it's a game changer too but I enjoy softball as is.

I hate the constant fake bunting and slap hitting. The game would be greatly improved by any rule changes that ended that garbage.

Make the field bigger creating holes that take great defense to defend and reward solid hitting. The garbage slap hits and small field that make most solid contact an easy out only weaken the appeal of the game.

its a different sport. takes awhile to accept it for what it is. i still would like the bases an extra 5 feet apart.

    lol

Slapping is much more difficult than the bunts those pussa boys utilize. Go take that away from baseball.

I'm shocked you would disagree. I just don't like the fact that it takes 2 steps to get to first. Hell a left handed hitter that can slap can already be halfway to first before contact is made.

How many slap hits are successful in softball? How many bunts are successful in baseball? I bet the stats tell a different story. That's why there are so many slap hitters in softball and so few bunters in baseball. Fluke hitting is rewarded higher than quality hitting in women's softball. If you want a larger viewing audience quality play needs to have a greater impact than garbage play.
