I watched the game w. Stacey-O last night and in the 1st half, I was cursing RP for throwing away what could have been an incredible season. In the 2nd half, i had forgotten about him..... (on a side note...I really think that we could have really had a speacial season if RP would have not blown his opportunity @ LSU) :geauxtige:geauxtige :geauxtige:geauxtige
RP probably would have done some special things this year...but I have no doubt that he would have hurt this team somehow. RP was a screw up and the coaches knew it. He is better off where he's at and we're better off without him.
I did the exact same thing. Was going to post a thread lambasting Perrilloux and charging him with the loss to Auburn. I also reinstated Lee's scholly in the middle of the 3rd quarter.
the mods would have been merging a lot of threads on that subject had we lost. it was a topic in chat.
Of course, the million dollar question is how does Lee respond. Hopefully he gained some confidence and continues to grow and improve. Hatch's injury aside, I'd turn the team over to Lee at this point. Glad we have Miss State this weekend. Tailgating will be much more enjoyable afther this win>
Saturday night after the game when I finally went to sleep I had a dream that after the game was over, Auburn officials "reviewed" the game and reversed the TD call that LSU made, and gave Auburn the win. It woke me up out of a sleep and I had to check the score to make sure it hadn't changed before I could fall back asleep. There have been few games where I've been through so many highs and lows. I remember one point in the 2nd half, where Todd throw a pass that 1 second, everyone in my house thought LSU intercepted, 2nd second thought was incomplete, and 3rd second realized that Auburn caught it. Crazy game and I loved it.
it seemed like Hatch's concussion had the opposite effect on Lee and woke him up out of a haze. like HatcherTiger says, can he build on this is the question? unbelievable second half all the way around, offense, defense, spec. teams (namely punting!) and coaching! i loved the on-sides call and conversion even though it did not amount to any points.
I completely missed the onside kick, read about it in the paper over breakfast. I sprinted to the restroom right after Lee's first TD pass
Tubberville was lobbying hard for another roughing the QB call on that last 4th down pass. I thought the refs were going to give it to him though it wasn't close. I was looking for flags on every play there at the end.
