Hey guys, I am looking for people watching the game tomorrow in the Houston area. I am in Huffman and was planning on heading across Houston tomorrow anyway, so anywhere around downtown is cool too. Even if you aren't in town, me second choice is to find a cool sports bar to watch the game at. Any help would be awesome! Geaux Tigers.
Woodrow's without a doubt. It's off 610 going south from I-10. Take Richmond exit, head West and it's on the corner of Richmond and Chimney Rock. 3111 Chimney Rock Rd Houston TX (713) 784-2653 Great LSU sports bar. Lot's of fans show up.
This is the best known LSU hang out on gameday: User Reviews for Big Woodrow's Bar & Grill Great for Tiger Fans!! 4 Star Rating: Recommended 11/03/2008 Posted by NewtoHouston711 Love this place on LSU Gameday. However, I am finding that it is becoming more and more crowded with UT fans and they're starting to demand that the Tv's be turned to the UT games even though it is an LSU bar with LSU fans already sitting there. Other than that though I usually enjoy everything there. Pros: Good food and drinks, good value Cons: UT people trying to take over the only LSU bar in Houston 3111 Chimney Rock Road Houston, TX 77056 Phone: (713) 784-2653 4.5 Star Rating: Recommended Cross Street: Richmond Avenue Map: http://houston.citysearch.com/profile/map/9903121/houston_tx/big_woodrow_s_bar_grill.html My guess, since the Tx game was Thur. night, UT fans won't be a problem.
That sucks about the UT fans. When I lived in Austin, it wasn't worth going to any sports bars as you had to deal with foul smelling UT fans. Oh the humanity!
I did a little searching and found: North Houston Game Watch Buffalo Wild Wings Portofino Center The Woodlands 19075 I-45 North Suite 100 Shenandoah, TX (936) 273-7777 SRO Sports Cafe Willowbrook 6982 FM 1960 Rd @ Cutten Rd Houston, TX (281) 537-0691 Per this website: http://www.lsunorthhouston.com/tiger/football.html I didn't know there was a "north houston lsu alumni association"!
Scott Gertner's in the Galleria is nice as well. Awesome wings and plenty of LSU fans. It's not far from Woodrows.
