He had the long TD to Randle and a 20 yarder to Joseph. I don't remember on either completion how much was YAC. His next longest completion was 7 yards.
So let's throw out his long passes to prove that he can't complete long passes? Good logic. And there was no YAC yardage for Randle's catch. Kind of hard to run after the catch when the ball hits you perfectly in stride in the end zone. I'm not saying JJ's All-SEC or anything, but come on the kid goes out there and puts it on the line. He stood in the pocket and took a shot on both the passes you speak of. The TD to Shepard was also in the face of pressure. No, he's not there yet, but he's not that far either. Why are we failing to recognize the improvements this team made? We got Randle, Shepard and Jefferson going pretty well in the first half, which is all any fan could have asked for going into the game. The lack of a run game was more of an issue with the offense than anything else. Ridley and Murphy were not only careless with the ball, they were ineffective as well.
Who is overreacting? You answered me, I answered you. Thought this was a discussion. If you didn't want to be responded to, why post the numbers?
He's up there in age, prolly got a bit confused and thought he was in this thread here. :hihi: <http://www.tigerforums.com/tigers-den/101289-some-people-over-reacting.html>
It's because fans got a taste of winning and winning feels good. It's also because many fans see that LSU has the talent to be playing better and they are disappointed that they seem to underachieve. You could always start following ULL, their fans don't seem to mind losing and they're known for having a good time.
We've been in the top 10 if not top 5 throughout this past decade... we've experienced a lot of success... I think since fans have tasted success it's like finally coming into money... you become accustomed to a higher standard of living... well ours is starting to dwindle.
I feel sorry for the people who think watching LSU is like work. Unless you get to drink heavily and scream until you are hoarse at your job, in which case I envy you.
