I'm amazed that some saw no improvement. The biggest complaints last year were that we weren't using Shepard enough and that Jefferson couldn't complete the deep ball. Well?
I had a good time at the party I was at, but i was surrounded by the same crap you were. It does get annoying.
Could you imagine this place and all of Tiger Nation had Shepard failed to see the field like he did in the bowl game?? Put I am not sure how much of that I would put on Miles deciding to play that was so much as it might have been Billy G. annoying him to play them in that fashion. I told it to Podkatt and Big Wee last night I imagine the scene from the Waterboy where Coach Red rips the playbook from Coach Klein except instead of Snowman and the Fonz I see Crowton and Gonzales. There were some indvidual bright spots...but the team as a whole that I watched last night...was the same exact team I watched all last season.
Hi, I just joined the forum here... but not to bitch and moan, then leave. I've been a lurker here for quite a while now. I just wanted to say that I agree with SabanFan's post. I love to watch LSU, and yes, I've been frustrated with them time and time again. But I continue to support them. Isn't that what fans are supposed to do? If all of the Tiger fans got pissed and stopped going to the games, stopped supporting the team, I'm pretty sure that would make matters even worse... I don't want that. Now last nights game was a nail-biter towards the end for sure. No doubt about that. They did great in the first half, then something happened... they made some mistakes that cost them MUCH more than they probably anticipated. At any rate, there are some new guys out there, its the first game, and for the most part, JJ DID look somewhat better (except for when he threw the ball right at a UNC player... that sucked! LOL). I try to look at the positives: - At least they pulled it off, got a win out of it - They will surely see how things looked when they watch the footage themselves - The defense is looking much better (in my opinion anyway) - JJ has improved for the most part, still has more work to do though - Its the first game of the year, and first for several players - Peterson sure can run! LSU has a reputation for making its fans come to their feet during games, scream, yell, etc... LOL... Even the seasons where they won the NC. Now... hopefully when they face better teams, my positives here don't look completely ridiculous!
