My hats off to Washington!! They had me worried a little last night. The game sure turned out a lot closer than I thought. I bet there ranking improved too! LSU needs to get the defense together. It looked a lot like last year to me. Way too many lost arm tackles and 3rd and long conversions. Thats scary.... Offensive line wasnt that great either. We have a lot of football ahead of us for improvement..:geaux:
Watching the way Snead came back today and piled points on Memphis, LSU has better tighten up on their D, otherwise he will be able to tear up our defense. Part of the successful TD passes were because of W's weaker secondary....I was disappointed at the offensive line not being able to open up an effective running game. Was W's D line better than anyone thought?
Couldn't agree more. They are a decent team but will finish somewhere around 500, maybe a little above. Locker is an above average QB, but I wouldn't start talking Heisman based on the defense he faced last night.
I can't say that I watched any other games that featured the normally weak pac 10, so I am not sure that Wash is the best. But that was a pretty good team last night that played with a ton of intensity. I would guess that USC will figure this out in a couple weeks.
Exactly. When a Pac-10 team holds their own with LSU, all of a sudden, they are a quality Pac-10 team destined to do great things. Gimme a break. I hope no one on TF talks anymore about LSU not getting any respect and the Pac-10 getting too much. It was obvious by last night's game that the Pac-10 can hang with the SEC, or so the apologist fan must admit.
Let's see if I understand. It's understood that Washington sucks. We all knew that before the game, right? We all knew before that LSU was much better than them because of all the talent. What we saw during the game means nothing. Washington still sucks. They have to. I mean, look at last year. So the obvious conclusion is that LSU sucks too. If anyone tries to draw the conclusion that UW just might be better than we thought, that would be excusing LSU's failure to demolish and dominate. That would make one an "apologist". So, it's better to be angry and bitter and pollute threads with negative crap so that everybody can realize that LSU sucks and we can all hate the coaches and hope for changes. Oops. Hope and Change. That doesn't always work out too well. Let's all just be pissed and spend our time here getting more angry and bitter. Let's all be like Cajun Punk.
Want acknowledge that I just posted the same thing without having read yours first. Glad to see others have this same thought. It still doesn't fix that we didn't look nearly as good as I had hoped.
