Less than 24 hours after her passing. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3406101/posts I know we're not huge fans of the jihadists, but there may be some exceptions for a news organization being Charlie Hebdoed.
What's interesting about this is that the original posting opened with this paragraph.... "Nancy Reagan had an undeniable knack for inviting controversy. There were her extravagant spending habits at a time of double-digit unemployment, achaotic relationship with her children and stepchildren that could rival a soap-opera plot, and the jaw-dropping news that she had insisted the White House abide by an astrologer when planning the president’s schedule." But after several social media complaints, it was changed to this.... "Nancy Reagan, a former film actress whose crowning role was that of vigilant guardian of President Ronald Reagan’s interests and legacy, died March 6 at her home in Los Angeles. She was 94." I'm not sure it would be a solid idea to shoot up WaPo. Frederick J. Ryan Jr., who is The Washington Post’s publisher and chief executive is chairman of the board of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.
Maybe he will fire the bastard. I thought it was a bit strange at the time about the astrology thing but if that's the best they can do after all this time I say faggedaboudit
She was a public figure and news is news. It was a very complimentary article and there is no need to whitewash the controversies. Read the actual article instead of some bloggers spin. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nati...966804-e3b9-11e5-b0fd-073d5930a7b7_story.html
I read it in it's entirety. While there are some nice comments, the digs are clear and so completely unnecessary. Romano is a left wing nutjob who is in love with Hillary. Her politics are not a surprise and if she can't write an obituary without making a political statement then she should STFU. Those "controversies" BTW were largely a manifestation of the lib media that Romano is a part of. You should ask why Romano's piece is so absolutely different than 99% of the other obits out there.
