BEWARE!!!! You people have okie close to melting down on your azzes!! I can't control her if she gets there! Good luck if she reaches her breaking point!
I felt from the beginning this "could" be LSU's year. I knew the D would be good, although late in the season, we wobbled a bit. We had question marks on offense, but I thought they would be answered affirmatively, and they were. Flynn stepped up, as did Doucet, LaFell, Byrd, and Tolliver. Hester stepped up to lead the young running backs, and they stepped up too. We won the SEC West, won the SEC, and have an opportunity to win the BCS championship. You can only ask for a little more, winning the championship. We will be competitive with OSU, but my fear is they play over their head, being fed up with hearing how they are so much slower than an SEC team. I think it will be a close, hard fought affair. This year is not last year, it has nothing to do with last year. This is an entirely now deal. We're a 5 pt. favorite, but that means nothing this year. Part of that is because its a 'home game'.
i had plans to make a poster for the LSU Alabama game for this year, it was going to say Jesus might have worn purple but he bleed crimson, then i stopped and thought about and came to the decision that it was in bad taste and decided against it. Just for the record that game this year is in my top 3 most fun games i've ever been to.
I agree that this "was" LSU's year. Thank goodness the year will come to an end in a few weeks.
Maybe the Lord figured he,d help balance things out a bit after Katrina. I don't think he pulls for one or the other, but I'd like to thinks he peeks in now and then. :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
To answer the question, we won't really know until the end of the game. There is one scenario that really makes me think we might be though. (To put this in perspective, I realize this is just one of the miriad of things that helped put us in the game, it is just the one that touches me the most personally). Other than the Tigers playing, the one game that mattered the most to me during the season was the first VT/BC game. I pulled for VT, and could not believe that they blew the game by playing the prevent and allowing 14 points at the end of the game. Of course, in retrospect if they won, they would be in the big game. Of course most people would point to #1 and #2 losing on Sat. night. At that point I refused to believe that we had a chance. I would not believe it until I read that our own ISLSTL said we had a chance. I discounted every talking head I heard! When our resident hero said it, I believed. (This is the same man who called every big 12 game upset, and said that it was quite possible with WVA because they were playing a rival). The Arky game was so crushing to me, that I could not allow myself to believe. I was out of town and suffered through that game in a hotel bar where somebody from Arky was getting married the next day. Well, now I am a believer! I truly think we will win this game! I LOVE LSU!!!!!!!!!
I go back to the Pitt/WVU game to tell me that this is OUR destiny to win this championship. If anybody watched, they saw the most remarkable defensive performance ever (holding a 45+ ppg/550 ypg team playing at home to only 7 points). And they did it with an official who was being paid by the Big East to insure that they had a representative (WVU) in the BCS title game. And Pitt still overcame that huge obstacle. You think it's OUR year? Ya damn skippy!
Honestly I don't know how anyone can look back and say it wasn't our year.. All they gotta do now is bring it on home... :crystal:
 Who the hell is this fool???:angryfire Is it you Nick??? You want Les out so you can come back and leave sorry azz Bama???
