From the 1987 season to the 2000 season 14 years this man was 152- 19. No season in those 14 years he has less than 10 wins.

    That's fkn insane

The ACC then was not nearly what it is now, and Bowden had that program at an SEC level.

That's still freaking insane. He finished no less than 4th in the final AP Poll in any of those years.

FSU didn't join the ACC until 1992. From 1987 till 1991 the were an independent and they frequently traveled to play and beat top 10 teams on the road.

That program was a sleeping giant until Jimbo had to go and wake up the damn thing. It is two-fold disappointment that we didn't get him, imo. Helps us get better while knocking them back down maybe? IDK, but it could've worked out that way. Alas, it is what it is....

That program WAS a giant, long before Jimbo got there. The game had passed Bobby by and had slipped, but they had been at the top before.

give him an extra win from playing a powder puff OOC to meet today's schedule and he would have won 166 games in 14 seasons. Add on the fact they did not have a championship game during that period, he could have potentially won another 8-10 of those as well, so 174-176 total over 14 seasons. That's 12 1/2 wins per season.

everything in this thread is true. and jimbo would have been a great fit and christmas come early for LSU fans. He really got FSU turned around with a quickness. Now we have a long wait.

LSU/Bama is what FSU/Miami was every year. the talent bowl.
