I have Comcast and watched the entire game on standard Def ESPN2! The HD coverage changed in the 6th but it had a programming alert instructing LSU/Irvine fans to turn to Standard not HD for the rest of the game! My father has Direct TV and ESPN2HD ESPN2 ESPNU and ESPN2Alt were all Fres/Ariz! Same i think on most Dish network, so is this a ESPN fault or a provider Fault!

Eatel here, and we also got the programming alert to switch over to regular ESPN2. Still a poor way to handle it though, should have been left on the same channel throughout Louisiana for the duration of the game.

I was thinking it was a provider fault. But if ESPN gets enough wind of how it was handled, maybe they can do something about it. Like Nooch said earlier, he and I have both contacted our provider and they say (in Arabic) "we hate when ESPN does that". So who's to blame??? I don't know. But I do know that they will ALL hear from me my discontent.

my best guess is that each provider can only broadcast what ESPN feeds them.
I don't know, maybe DirecTV does have a switch they can throw to change feeds from ESPN, but I'm think the guys in Bristol would want to be in control of that.
