    that's the rule going in, not coming out.
    the goal line itself is part of the endzone.
    so you have to get the ball clean across it to not be a safety.

    It wasn't a safety, because the refs said it wasn't a safety. And we've run another play since then, so it can't be challenged as to whether it really was a safety or not. So there.
