Time of possession was 33:41 LSU and 26:19 for Georgia. So, we out scored them, had the ball almost 8 minutes more, had no turnovers, and had only 2 penalties vs. Georgia’s 4. Seems to me that the offense did their part just as the defense did.
It’s hard to argue that too much more can be squeezed out of our turnips. I’m less concerned about Bama, more concerned about the rest of the schedule. The Ho hum teams on our schedule are no slouches relative to our roster. We aren’t stacked like Bama. That’s one thing O needs to fix. Last few recruiting classes missed on some key positions and recruits; made some missteps along the way. We’re getting to the point where we’re holding O to NC caliber standards. That’s a huge win for Orgeron.
We were playing against an elite defense. Anybody consider that? What LSU fan comes away from this game complaining about the lack of points on the board after putting up 36 on arguably the best defense in the country?
the dawgs were the best defense in the country.. up until yesterday, they were only behind for 13 min the entire season... we demolished them... had Jeaux not overthrown two long bombs, we could've had 2 more tds... people should go back and look at what they were posting in the summer about where they realistically thought we'd be at this stage in the season... nobody had us at 6-1, ranked 5th with wins over the canes, war chickens and the dawgs...
