Was Alabama great, or did LSU suck?

In other words, we definitely sucked tonight...but Bama was the reason we sucked so much. We might have sucked less and won against a lesser team but Bama was not to be denied.

I agree. Mark May said that not even Drew Brees could have made a difference in this game. Oh, how I beg to differ, dude. Yeah, I know about the pressure, the oline and missed rb blocks, etc., but JJ had an awful night. Just look how he ran the option. Even the RBs were looking at him like "WTF, man, why'd you pitch me the ball in that situation?"

Bama was outstanding in all aspects of the game. They are truly a great team and deserve to be national champions.

It's a great season to be a tiger fan though...this team stole my heart.

Bama won plain and simple. BUT, we have to analyze LSU's play and wonder if Bama was just doing this to us. I say, NO. The Bama was beatable with any rally by LSU. The rally never came. Why did we lose. No matter who was at QB, we telegraphed and failed on nearly every play. JJ almost completed what looked like a potential long touchdown pass to Beckham, came back to the play and completed it. Yet, we never saw it again. On the sack in the second half...on the 4th down play, the reveiver was open. If the JJ did not have a 23 second wind up, the ball could have been out to the receiver and a TD or near TD. LSU should have abandoned the run and put the ball downfield with LEE. Then the Bama D would have been challenged. DID NOT HAPPEN.

    You know what's funny?
Les's tenure has been a record
of heart attack wins and losses.
    Not this season,
    I thought that was done.
But for the HUGE heart attack at the end.

Bama is obviously a great team, with a great defense. Are they THAT good? Probably not. LSU made them look extremely good.

exactly right. and, actually, on the one long pass they did complete, there was another WR wide open down the middle for a TD, but JJ just looked at the one guy and threw it, in typical JJ fashion, telegraphed, where the DBs could get him right away. look at the replay, if you dare. dude wide open down the middle.

Amen brother! I am so glad to have the whole Jefferson saga behind us. It's not much of a silver lining, but it's all we have to hold onto right now....

Both. Bama came to play. The way their WRers were going up- battling for the ball, and laying out. Their QB was on fire too.

We were flat. Emotion goes a long way in sports.
