There's a huge difference in what state LSU is in now physically and what it will be in come Bowl season. Dorsey should be 100% and that's something that hasn't been true in awhile. That's just one aspect of the D. That schedule put some wear and tear on LSU but don't underestimate LSU. They do still have a game left though. If they get the pressure on Ainge consistently, then Hawaii should be no problem.

They haven't come close to the physicality of an SEC team this year and they've had some close calls in that cotton candy schedule as well.

btw I'm not an LSU fan lol. look at hawaii's record against the SEC the last few years and we aren't talking creme of the crop talent either.

June Jones (former headcoach of the ATL falcons) is an excellent coach and likes to score very fast.

Let's grab him (maybe offense coodinator), like Florida plucked Urban out of the WAC and won a NC 2 years later...and AZ state grabbed former WAC coach Dennis Erickson.

June has not signed a contract this year and his contract is up. The state of Hawaii does not want to pay him more than $800,000! He wants only $1million, but Hawaii can't see paying the "highest paid state employee" more than $800,000; they are in the dark over here when it comes to paying coaches. You'll never see Saban over here. We're talking a bargain!

FYI Chris Peterson and Hal Mumme are also in the WAC-all spreadout offenses.

I understand that you think you know what you're talking about but if you haven't consistenly watched Hawaii football games then you have no idea how physical they are.

I am an SEC man through and through but I also have seen some serious sloberknocking going on in Hawaii games that I would put on par with SEC games.

I would love to discuss more with you but with you not having any frame of reference as far as Hawaii football goes then all you are doing is guessing and assuming.

If I had not been following Hawaii football then I would assume the exact same thing that you are assuming. That LSU would wipe the floor with Hawaii. The fact is I know better. It would definitely be a game.

The knock against CJJ's offense is that he never can get a defense to go with it. The saying has always been "How scary good would a program be if it could put the two together."

I would love to see CJJ's offense combined with a really good SEC defense.

Don't really think it would happen. CJJ's recruiting ties are mostly South Pacific, some California and West Coast states. He has started to tap Texas some but he just doesn't have any recruiting ties to the south.

I don't know how well he would be received by Tiger Nation. Would be a fun ride though.

Hawaii dudes, the Tiger fans speak the truth for the most part. All SEC Defensive linemen are All-pro in the NFL. LSU has them. I believe Tennessee even got 1 or 2 of your better prospects in JT Mapu? SEC Linebackers run 4.5 and under.

So, the good news is that Tiger fans will have an opportunity to drive down and see Hawaii face the ACC team>

The bad news is Hawaii will be facing Erik Ainge and Tennessee's high-profile offense where the backs, 3 tight ends, and a plethora of receivers are threats to score.

Your milk is getting cold and your cookies are getting stale. Drink your milk, eat your cookies and then go to bed.

Now you know your mother said to get off that computer and go to bed.

You've got school in the morning now.........shut down the computer...............go on.............shut it down and go to bed.

If she comes in again and you aren't in bed it's no computer till next season young man.

I saw the whole Boise St-Hawaii game.. you keep saying they're physical but I didn't see a whole lot of that. The warrior chants or whatever are fun to watch, but on the field they were nowhere near as physical as some of the SEC teams we've faced. They're alright but a team that struggles against La. Tech and Nevada doesn't exactly seem threatning.

But the thing with Hawaii is that it's just human nature to underestimate a team like that. If LSU goes out and kills them, everyone will say "oh that's to be expected etc"... but if Hawaii pulls off a miracle against LSU it could get pretty bad. Although Oklahoma seems to be doing just fine after losing to Boise St.

But yes, I watched Hawaii-Boise St and Hawaii-Nevada and I think you are pumping them up a bit too much.

O.K. I hear what you are saying and you are absolutely entitled to your opinion. I respectfully disagree with you about the physical aspect.

My attempt is not to pump Hawaii up but to let fellow Tiger fans know that, it aint gonna be a cakewalk. I'm just someone in a position to inform. That's all.

Having said that, as a fan, I do have a healthy amount of respect for Hawaii.

Let's just let it die. I'm getting tired of him pumping them up also, but everyone is entitled to their opinion...no matter how ridiculous.

mauitiger, the only way a team like Hawaii beats LSU is if we completely take them for granted. Physically, they're no match. Talent wise, they're no match. They may have three or four guys that could start at LSU. Now, that being said, ULM may have only three or four guys that could start at Alabama also...and look what happened there.

I know you're a Tiger fan, and that's why I'm trying real hard to be nice.....but don't expect me to believe that Hawaii is anything more than a good mid-level team that hasn't played anyone worth mentioning....because that's all they are. Without the worthless BCS, they wouldn't even be sniffing a major bowl.....and I hope their sorry asses get beat this weekend.

Knew that was coming at some point salty.

The point of the thread was that IF this matchup happens I sure hope we(LSU) take Hawaii very very seriously.

I agree it's time to let this thread die.
