I don't know if we have or not. Have we? WVU? UO? UF?

It was said on a lot of boards that UF was the best defense we have seen to this point in the season. I don't know. Nobody has stopped us from moving the ball. MSU stopped us from scoring the best, but I believe we were VERY vanilla in that game. Bama has faced UF too, and moved the ball with no problem. Penn St. probably has as good or better defense than anyone else we've played.

Doesn't matter. Trent Richardson is an elite back. We have a deep stable of solid backs, with two or three very good backs. IMO, we have a better passing game...when we wanna use it. They have a more stout DL, we have a faster DL. They have a very good secondary, we have a very good secondary. They have an awesome LB corps, we have an adequate LB corps...which is more than I thought we had at the beginning of the season.

LSU and Bama are both really great teams. They have similarities, but they have strengths we don't and we have strengths they don't. It'll all come to light November 5th.

    On to Tennessee...then AU...then bye...THEN Bama.

Lots of homerism here. It's pretty clear that Richardson is a better back than Ware. Not to detract from Ware because he's a hell of a back and will do well on Sundays.

None of this really matters. Come Nov 5th if our o-line and our bruising fullbacks get the job done then Ware & co will prove themselves in the most watched and most hyped game of the year.

All true - AND we have the advantage in special teams, which may end up being the difference.

First focus Vols; then focus birdtigers; then focus during the two week build up; and then all questions will be answered.

Similar styles, but Richardson is definitely better right now. IMO, Ware is as good this year as Richardson was last year, and Richardson is a year older so Ware has the same potential.

Right now, Ware isn't as strong or fast as Richardson, and isn't as good at finding the hole.

Lacey is probably a little behind Ware, but not a whole lot. He's better than Ford, Blue, or Magee though.

NOTE: Ford may be the best guy on our team at running the ball, but as I predicted, he hasn't learned how to be a complete RB and that's why he isn't playing much.

That's what clearly separates them right now imo. Trent has more break away speed.

IMO, speed is the 3rd biggest reason Ware is not as good as Richardson. Finding the hole is #1, Strength is #2, and Speed is #3.

The reason Richardson displays his speed more than Ware is because of the strength he hits the hole with and the way he breaks tackles. Richardson has a burst in the second level because he is in space without people hanging on him.

Ware doesn't get to display his speed because he isn't bursting through the hole and has people hanging on him as he pounds away. The few times he gets into open space he's plenty fast enough.

Agree. Richardson right now is better.

But, I will take our stable over theirs anyday. Ware, Ford, Blue, Magee...we are as deep as Loch Ness. :LSU231:

Thank you, Mr. Danielson! This is exactly what Spencer Ware, and his blockers need to hear you implying. Maybe Alabama's D will believe this as well. Even better.
