Not sure...why did some of the lefties approve the war...oh yeah that’s right, the Evil Genus Bush deceived everyone and made the UN/Britain/Congress and the American people think that there was some big missiles hidden out in the desert.

Here the only reason we are involved is to aid in a Civil War. There was no imminent threat, therefore he should have sought congressional approval. Plain and simple. This is my problem with President Obama’s unilateral act.
Would I like it if Congress approved, no, but then I would not have an issue with Obama when it comes to this mess. BTW, if we the reasoning for us going into Iraq was to aid in them in a revolt against Saddam, my WHOLE opinion of that war would change.

12 terrorists on 9/11 were from Saudi Arabia. I guess they weren't close enough?

Bush wasn't going to bite the hand that has been feeding his family for decades.

Allegedly. Saddam's timing was all wrong. Bush (and most of America) had had enough of his crap and the time was right to take him out. All of your bloviating about the errors of the Iraqi war are after the fact and, like the Dems, politically motivated.

I think we should have went I Iran instead. Saddam was weak. Iran causes more problems than any other country. Once they get a nuke they are untouchable. Red said in an earlier thread that the people of Iran will overthrow the mullahs eventually. I think that if the mullahs are on their way out they will give a nuke to Hamas to use on isreal. Isreal will light the Arab world on fire if that happens. We should have went into Iran not Iraq
