Here are two eye witnesses to the underwear bomber incident:

Just for the record I agree with this guy's theory completely. These incidents are staged for either:

    1) material gain
    2) increasing government regulation/power

    What say you?

and im sure another one will be along shortly.

and to play along and answer the question, no. terrorism is a very real threat. i dont always agree with things that are done in its name, but the threat is real and it must be dealt with, even if i dont always agree with how.

I'm not saying genuine terrorist incidents don't take place but some of them are also staged. The underwear bomber would never have made it on the plane without some assistance from someone in authority.

Why don't you try getting on a plane without a passport from outside the US and see how far you get? And you're a US citizen.....

i disagree. despite their "friendly" patdowns, tsa phucks up all the time. i cannot remember which govt dept has done studies, but testing has been done to see what people can get away with in getting past tsa all the time, and the results are quite telling on how porous and flawed tsa actually is. given that some things are the same everywhere, i can see where things like that happen more than we know, or want to know.
