Ok. JJ may not be healthy enough. JL may come out and throw for 500 yards. What does everyone want to see against Ole Miss? And what, however disappointing or inspiring it may be, do ya'll REAALY expect? I want JJ to start, our run game to dominate, or defense to contain, and not see anything resembling the Meerkat. Also, throw RS in at QB and RB a few times. I expect that JJ will start, but will not be as mobile because of his injury, our running game to be mediocre, save for a couple of key runs that put us over the edge. And, I expect to see RS having the time of his life at every possible position. :geaux:
I want to see the Defense clamp down and shut McCluster down. I also want to see a run heavy offense, and domination at the line of scrimmage.
But because of McCluster's recent production, I also expect Nutt to use him as a decoy to open up the intermediate passing game for Snead, who can still be dangerous now that he doesn't have the entire weight of the offense on his shoulders. LBs will have to play smart, disciplined football, and the DL must at least show up to have a chance on D, but the key is still shutting down McCluster. LSU doesn't have to put up Boise numbers to win, they just have to be consistently competent on offense and not turn the ball over. Which LSU is capable of doing if Jefferson is near 100%. If he isn't and/or Lee has to play for long stretches, then it won't look good.
I think that Ole Miss will used it as a decoy first, then go to using it if our D shuts down the pass. Or, as Bama did, they can swap to something entirely different after halftime. I see our best chance of winning is to score enough points to survive the transition when they make it:tigereye:
I'm very easy to please. All I want is for LSU to have more points on their side of the scoreboard when the clock zero. I don't need to be amazed, impressed or to be shown any promise for the future. A win is all I want, need or hope for from this team. As far as important needs and wants, I need a cup of coffee and want a smoke.
I would love to see the D play disciplined football and perform their assignments. I'm not hard to please.
I don't care what the players do, I want to see the coaches adjust to the game. Been two years since we have seen some gametime adjustments. This is a game we will have to win with some good decisions from the sideline. Even though I think we are way more talented, Nutt is awesome at getting his teams ready to play us.
