Not enough 10% on this board. Still makes me laugh. Walton can be redundant and a little annoying staying on the politics, but Billy Ed, Mr Kenneth, and Mr. Eaux are funny. Anybody remember LadyNasty at Jack in the Box on airline? Mama didn't raise no fool!
That's scary, every word you said applies to me (even down to 9th grade). I just don't like the intense Obama bashing so early in the morning. It's like it gets you in a negative mood to start the day. A fixture in the CD player is Houses of the Holy and that will get me back in the goodtimin mode. By the way, Charlie Pallilo (sp?) is one of the best at what he does and Houston is lucky to have him. He has a face for radio but he knows his stuff and even went into pretty good detail on LSU today. He said more in about 30 seconds than most casual LSU fans know.
i love W & J, and i am a 10%er. i listen to them every morning because they actually talk about what's really going on. i could care less about who's dating who in hollywood. i would love if they would happen to come around our tailgate (although i doubt it'll happen), but i would def. like to meet those guys some day.:tigereye:
I dont like the president either. (Im a bible believing gun toting redneck hillbilly country hick.) ....guess you guys knew that already
That was also several wives ago, LOL. I listen to them sometimes, but they've been on so long, and are so focused on Houston, it's just not the same. I remember working construction in 1983 when they were first on the air. They were funny as hell. Back then, Billy Ed lived in God's Country Trailer Park in Chalmette, and Mr Kenneth owned the "Head Shed" in N. O.
I listen to them from time to time. They used to be the best thing when I lived in NO in the early 80's. Used to wake up to Mr. O singing "Get yo head out of bed". And Johnson is quite good changing voices and personalities at the blink of an eye. Was waiting to see if he ever did a Mr Kenneth line in Billy Ed's voice. It all depends if I want to listen to music or talk. This used to be a song they played every Friday: YouTube - IRISH ROVERS - THE DRUNK SCOTTSMAN !!
I grew up on Walton and Johnson......And have met them twice at some PR event in BR and if you pay attention when Steve talks you can hear every single voice rolled into his own voice. And Fridays were the BOMB!! "I'm in a mother****ing phonebooth at the mother****ing Stop N Go, I need an bambalance" "Hows your Hole...family, Hows your Hole...family, hows your hole family how is your hole family" But now I find myself listening to WWL....HOWEVER If I am in the car at 950 in the morning I ALWAYS turn it just in time to... "Say Bye Bye Billy Ed" "Bye Bye Billy Ed" AND DONT FORGET BOYS AND GIRLS TO EAT IT EVERYDAY!
