Mays drove the ball pretty damn well; he had some nasty dunks. His game isn’t pretty, but he’s more athletic than he gets credit for. If Mays comes back I think he’ll get plenty of playing time. Stability is important, especially with a bunch of young guys who’ll be up and down, learning on the job.
It seemed like he sort of lost his shot middle part of the 2nd half of the season. Could be wrong and just going off recollection but it seemed like he shot a lot better early. Hope he gets that back.
Wade likes a higher tempo but he is not really a havoc guy, that was Shaka Smart. Yes he will press but not all the time.
i was definitely impressed with some of those dunks. he is more athletic than he gets credit for. from what i have read, wade was huge for the havoc and wants to run it as much as he has the players to do so.
Since you asked nicely...... There are so many unknowns at this point, but Smart, Mays, and Watford have spots locked up in my opinion. I think Taylor starts the season at the 3 because of his defense. He’s still new to the sport and has a lot of room to grow. Days is a candidate to take over if he can get quicker and cut down on fouls. So much depends on who else we bring in to finish the class. If N’faly Dante reclassifies or we get another capable big, it makes things clear: Smart Mays Taylor Watford Dante/JUCO transfer/grad transfer If we strike out, you could see: Smart Mays Taylor Williams Watford I think Manning will back up at the 2/3 spots. Days will back up at the 3/4. Williams will get a lot of minutes (starter or not). The rest depends on who else we bring in. If Hyatt can be a knockdown 3 point shooter, he will definitely play as we need that bad. Bishop could get meaningful minutes because, at this point, we don’t really have a backup for Smart. We’ll see who Wade brings in....
well done. thanks. i only a few weeks ago started to dig deep into recruiting. my impression is that this fella dante is a destroyer. isnt it true that a lineup with him is a national chap contender?
