I know most may not agree but I think it's the correct strategy. Right now, the focus should be on playing and winning games until or unless somebody says so. The best way to hold the NCAA off RIGHT NOW is a minor mea culpa and that's why Alleva did. Important I think, to keep in mind that Alleva may know more than what has been made public. The NCAA typically responds better up front if they think you took things seriously, made changes, blah blah blah. Suspending Wade gives LSU plausible deniability. IF it goes no further than the NCAA saying they've considered the issue and are satisfied it was a one-off with Wade and he's gone so LSU is fine.....what will you say of Alleva then (regarding this issue only of course)?
