In the pre-trial hearing, the New York judge said when ruling on whether or not to allow Wade and Arizona coach Sean Miller to testify in the court that the testimony would be "irrelevant" to bribery charges against Dawkins and Code. Federal prosecutors successfully blocked the attempt by the defense attorney to have the two coaches take the stand, which prevents Wade from having to take the stand and potentially answer tough questions about recruiting conversations captured on FBI wiretaps that led to his over month long suspension from LSU. With the testimony not admissible, it's a boost to Wade's footing with both the school and NCAA officials.
So now he sues for defamation or does he take the high road and demand consequences for the defense for illegally leaking ?

I'm just wiseacreing here, everyone, feel free to correct me... Wade wasn't under investigation, the wiretap was for the guy at the other end of the phone line. In the FBI matter, the judge disallowed Wade's testimony as irrelevant, so he doesn't have to admit or lie about anything, that's very good for him and not bad for LSU either. An NCAA investigation is a different matter, but I haven't heard anything about when or if that will happen.
