Who would you recommend? I agree that Garrett is not the solution but you need an interim coach. Typically the OC or DC. The defense has been worse than the offense so there you go. I think Jerry should have made himself the interim head coach. That's what he really wants anyway.
I would have promoted Ray Sherman, definitely not Jason Garrett. Hell even Dave Campo, he has been the head coach there before, he knows the ropes. All you are doing by promoting Jason Garrett is rewarding him for sucking. This dude has Marion Barber, Felix Jones, and Tashard Choice, and he runs the ball about 13 times a game.
Watch this one closely. Saban could very well look at this despite what he may say. Its well known his agent has a good relationship with Jones and spends a lot of time in Dallas. Im hearing that Saban is expressing frustration about the fans expectations but more interestingly the fans reaction to the Aub/Newton story last week and how it dominated the gumps attention. Im telling you...this is more of a possibility than Bama fans will acknowledge.
