You are wasting your time arguing with him. He has a man crush for Will Wade and nothing will convince him that Will Wade did this to himself and that LSU needed to cut him loose in an attempt to contain the damage he had already done to LSU’s reputation.
Who has a bigger hardon for WW? The guy that is pointing out the hypocrisy of NCAA or the guy that devotes entire essays towards hating on him. If you knew who this caged kitty really is, you prob wouldnt be giving him kudos. He will show his true colors soon enough.
because people found out that they paid players? doesnt seem very bad. everyone pays players, and they should, players work hard. wade wasnt harassing interns, covering up rapes. he was paying players. its nothing. wade was paying the people doing the work, paying the people earning the revenue.
I haven’t been fully engaged in this WW stuff since the start but I’ve always wondered why he wasn’t let go when the recordings first came out and he refused to discuss his side with his bosses. A lot of time between then and now. That didn’t help the university’s reputation. IMO, Should’ve happened years ago.
aleva wanted to fire wade but he didn't have the political capital to make it happen. i think LSU did all it could short of firing him and still give him due process by rewording his contract and suspending him from the tourney. Did wade deserve that? i dunno. LSU tried to play it out and hope that the strong ass offer was it as that's all that was disclosed at the time. he was acting under advice of counsel when not speaking to LSU, and wade agreed to restructure his contract, giving credence to the J Smart deal being all there was..... but when they start digging and find blackmail texts and payments from his personal account then there's no other course of action.
Back in the 60s when smoking pot was really illegal people went to jail when all they did was smoke it and did even sell it. Everybody smoked it. The smart students understood it was illegal and smoked in their home, or on the levy by the river - allegedly. The stupid people smoked driving in their cars driving through places where everybody knew cops would set up check points to verify your 'papers' as in current registration and insurance. Only the stupid people got busted. Wade was doing the 60s equivalent of smoking pot while standing up in his convertible and flipping the bird as he sped past the cops at the check point. He earned his firing for stupidity, not coaching.
