Other than having a cool name he was apparently living the dream. No idea if it is true but kind of funny.

That's a stretch. Amazing if true. Man, after about 14 beers I'm maxed out.

50-60 beers in a day...yeah, pretty unbelievable. Spread across an entire road trip...I can certainly believe it.

I was pretty well lit at the Auburn game in 05. I had consumed damned near a case of Dixie, and in my drunken stupor I screamed "Wade Boggs drank 56 beers on a cross country flight" as the Auburn kicker was lining up to kick his first field goal. He missed the field goal.

Since that worked I tried it again when he lined up to kick his second field goal. It worked again.

Five times that night Auburn attempted to kick a field goal, once in overtime. Five times I shouted "Wade Boggs drank 56 beers on a cross country flight." And Auburn missed five field goals on that night. I'm not saying the Tigers owe me for the victory, but I'm not saying they don't.

I have continued to use the Wade Boggs Hex, and it works about 90% of the time. That blocked field goal in the BCSNC, yeah that was me.

I also carry a Wade Boggs baseball card in my wallet whenever I go to a game. I may start leaving Wade Boggs cards in the other SEC stadiums to keep the gris gris on them.
