You need an ID to drive, to get on an airplane, to buy a beer, get a credit card, to catch a freaking fish and many other things yet one of the most important and scared things we do the freaking vile DEMOCRATS are saying we are racist if we ask people to show ID. I have never disliked Saban for leaving LSU or any other reason but he can go frick himself now. He's going woke and trying to influence Joe Manchin to change his stance.

Screw anyone who thinks you don't have to prove who you are to vote.

Just your typical dumbass post. The Freedom to Vote Act doesn't eliminate voter ID, nor does it even allow alternative ID in states that require it. Once again, you show your uneducated ass.

So you agree that voter ID should be required to vote - excellent, me too. What's the issue in a nutshell? What is Georgia doing that is suppressing votes?

I certainly do. Most Democrats I know agree with that, in fact.

Among the measures taken by Georgia to suppress votes:

    - The most serious: The State Election Board can now remove county election boards and replace them with interim election managers, simply if the State doesn't like the outcome of the vote in that particular county.

    - Georgia's new voting law makes it criminal to offer food or water to voters standing in long lines to cast their ballots. Guess which ethnicity of voters is typically made to stand in long lines.

    - Georgia's new voting law reduces by over half the time allotted before an election to request a mail-in ballot. Guess which ethnicity of voters proportionally made more use of mail-in ballots.

    - Georgia's new voting law puts an earlier deadline on when mail-in applications can be received. Guess which ethnicity of voters proportionally made more use of mail-in ballots.

    - Georgia's new voting law forces counties to wait three weeks later than previously before they're allowed to mail out absentee ballots. Guess which ethnicity of voters proportionally made more use of absentee ballots.

    - Georgia's new voting law makes it criminal for a third party group to send absentee ballot applications to individuals who have already requested one.

    - Georgia's new voting law prohibits previously legal mobile polling stations (i.e. buses) that were popular in black precincts.

    - Georgia's new voting law greatly reduces the number of ballot drop boxes. Guess which ethnicity of voters better utilized the ballot drop boxes.

and so on and so on.

Wonderful list Rexie. How does it compare to liberal northeastern states voting laws? Well let’s take a look. Here are several articles comparing Georgia to other states.

Basically even the “draconian Jim Crow” laws in Georgia are less restrictive and more open than many of the liberal bastions in the northeast. The crow that should be discussed is the one you’re eating. More proof the democrats are racists at heart v

So, because Delaware has bad voting laws that makes it OK for Georgia to suppress votes? Delaware is working to expand voter access, even in a state without much political competition. Georgia is going in the opposite direction, working to making voting harder because they know Republicans are falling behind.

    Even your linked article states:

"Republicans love to call out Democratic sanctimony in the debate over voting laws, but this ignores the divergent directions the two parties are headed.... Republicans are pushing to restrict voting in states such as Texas, Iowa, Arizona, and Florida, which have recently been competitive.... Democrats in charge of blue states are now racing to expand access in a way that matches the party’s rhetoric nationwide. "

Which means, of course, that you should be more careful of the articles you link... because that Atlantic one certainly doesn't support your case.

AND to shoot more holes in his list

It is not illegal to give food or water to voters waiting in line. It is illegal for a particular campaign or party to do so. The election board can set out a cooler of water or snacks or whatever. Stacey Gap Tooth Abrams Tank can't roll up with a bag of goodies and hand them out, that is a no no.

They also added more dates to vote by absentee

so as usual, rex is full of shit still
