Before you can pay the players, you have to figure out where the money is going to come from. You do realize that most schools lose money on athletics right? For example... there are 129 FBS schools and in 2014 a total of 24 of those schools made a profit on athletics. These players should go start their own league or STFU. They are getting incredible training for the next level (and life); if they can’t see that, society has failed them (and often, that is probably true). Making CFB NFL-lite would ruin CFB and the billions in income that it makes. It would still make money, but I (and many) wouldn’t be as interested if the mid-majors were removed from the equation (they’d be priced out, or the NCAA would have to subsidize them). What about basketball? Baseball? Women’s lacrosse?
Idiots, NCAA football was a great game that all the players loved. Frickin frick. I used to love to get revenge whenever Saban or Miles bungled up a game IRL (in real life).
