Look, I get it, it is a HUGE money making machine and all off the blood sweat and tears of the student athletes but you mark my words (and it will eventually happen because we are now a nation of pussies) When we start paying them or giving them a piece of that pie it will all go to shit and at ludicrous speed.
Plus football pays for the other smaller sports... Who's gonna pay the golf team or the water polo team... And how much
Only players in the revenue sports, football, basketball and baseball would be paid at the top scale. Golfers are mostly from middle class to wealthy families anyway. For water polo and the like, divide up the ticket sales money, take the players out for pizza and if there is anything left give em all a new swimsuit or something.
