Talked to my uncle-in-law and he had good things to say about Wilson. Tennessee doesnt want to lose him but thinks it will be a challenge getting him to LSU. He still owns a house in Miss that he's making payments on plus the one he just bought in Knoxville. If he moves to BR he will probably end up owning 3 houses at the same time. He thought LSU would have to do something on the housing end to have a shot. He also has a daughter supposedly very happy at her new high school and wife who has made some close friends up there. He didnt think Wilson would move but if the offer is too good to refuse, who knows. He also added that his resume on quick job moves is not an accurate picture of his intentions. He was the victim of head coaches getting fired, etc so he isnt the job hopper his resume might show.

Easy fix. Coaches sell houses all the time.

Standard coachspeak, but the truth is that they have to be mobile to advance if they have any ambition.

Coaches have to make tough decisions all the time and those that decline top offers will see them dry up.

Word is he is leaning to accept the job. Kiffen will offer more $$$$ but his desire to move home is strong.

I also heard about the 3 houses. Tenn fans are pretty much convinced he is a gone pecan.

However, with Kiffen I will not get my hopes up until it is official.

Coach O is being rumored to USC again wick might help make Wilson's decision easier.

McCarthy's name is being mentioned for the Nichols St. head coaching job.

Ha, Saban's house is still for sale here in Baton Rouge.

Actually, I think someone bought it and then put it back on the market a few months later.

Even if Saban still owned it at least he has the income to afford the holding charges. A guy at Wilson's scale can stretch himself pretty thin making mortgage payments on 3 nice homes.

Looking good but still not counted my eggs before they hatch. Other outlets in Tennessee are reporting the same.

This is good news. Tennessee could not counter LSU's offer because they are maxed out on asst salaries. 300K will help Wilson pay the costs of all the houses he owns/will own and maybe LSU even kicked in with a little help
