Vols Frank Wilson offered to replace Porter

I knew Frank Wilson when I was very young. He was a very nice and classy person.

I'm not sure if he's coming to LSU or not, but Tennessee will likely have to pay him more...and that still might not do the trick.

This is the start of a new offensive coaching staff. So far, I think this is a good sign.

 

I don't think it would be a very wise decision on Wilson's part to pack up his family and move from Tenn. to LSU if there was any chance of this being a one year gig. This makes me think that:
1) Wilson had been assured that Crowton's job is secure for 2-3 more years or
2) Plans are already being made to replace Crowton and finalized to the point that Wilson knows he can get along with the new man.

Maybe Wilson is the new OC in waiting.

 

Well, i guess Kiffin will start bad mouthing LSU now. We do pick them up on the schedule next season.

 

anyone else hearing that McCarthy was going with Porter to memphis? and i say "was" because dude might not be coaching anywhere if anything comes up with the investigation.

 

A couple of people have posted that, but really will we care, once he is gone, where he goes.

 

not at all. like i said in a thread earlier in the week... the dude seemed like a snake from day-one.
