I wanted to ask you something about Bitcoin exchanges. I recently opened an account with coinbase so I could get paid for something another way than PayPal. My PayPal account has been suspended since 2006. I chose coinbase only because I had heard of it. What is the best crypto exchange?
I like Gemini. They have most of the major crypto coins like Bitcoin, Bitcon Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin...and pretty easy to use and setup. I also have Kraken. They have all the cryptos - including all the weird stuff, oddball coins. But i find their user face not quite as good and they cater more to Europe (default is Euro). But if your're looking for Turd coin you'll find it at Kraken.
although, many people like coinbase because they let you buy crypto with a credit card. I have gemini linked to my bank account. i can send money back and forth.
Yea I use Voyager and can do the same. They also pay a base interest rate based on the amount of Crypto you hold. I was using Crypto.com, but like Voyagers app a little better and their feed is much better IMO.
That's why I like coinbase. Are the transfers with Gemini instantaneous or do you have to wait a day or 2 to send/receive payments?
It's a 2-3 day wait...remember one taking a week. That's with the bank. Transferring from Gemini to a bitcoin wallet is pretty much instant - of course you still need the 6 or so confirmations to really be 100% complete (minutes, varies on what coin you're using). Kinda like paying with a credit card...you can pay, nearly instant approval and get your stuff, but true behind the scenes transaction completion is some time later.
For now I'll stick with Coinbase. I opened the account to be able to receive payments and not to invest. The gave me $5 fmin bitcoin for opening the account. That was a little more than a month ago and as if a few days ago when I checked it was worth over $7. Tempting to put more money in there instead o leaving it in the bank. I also got about $127 in other coins that I never heard of for watching videos and answering a few question about them. Those coins are mostly down in value
There's something incredibly cool about being able to send money to anywhere in the world, to any person or business, with no government record, no big tech record, no taxes, no fees aside from a transaction fee of pennies (depending on which coin you use, could be a fraction of a cent). Same fee no matter if you send $1, or a hundred million.
If you buy weed with crypto are you worried about getting ripped off? Or the po po following the mail to your house?
