I don't know where you plan on staying, but be careful if you decide to walk to and from campus. There are some pretty rough neighborhoods north of LSU. I would not advise walking through them at night un-armed.

Close hotels are likely to be booked. You may have to look further from campus.

Go to Google Maps and type "hotels near LSU baton rouge" and it brings up dozens more. Good luck.

We booked at the Hilton Capitol Center through booking.com - they still have rooms available. It's a bit expensive, but we figure we're paying for the convenience and saving on taxi fares as it's right next to the CATS shuttle pickup. Good luck!

crikey its filling up fast, The radisson is full :( , as are many others

can anyone offer any adivice on these hotels for staying at pre and post game.

    have 3 options,

first one is just west of Port Allen, Motel 6, on the I-10.($50 for a double)

the other two are on the I-10 again but Baton Rouge side of the river

Ramada Inn ($68) 7.6 miles away from the uni campus
    and
The Extended stay America ($85)3.6miles from the stadium which is on Corporate Boulevard just off I-10

Would anyone consider that the 3.6miles to the Extended stay america is either too far or too dangerous to walk ?

Any ideas on taxi costs + availibility from these destinations, or even shuttle / regular bus availibility.

Any advice will be much welcome as we're struggling to find anything reasonably priced that isnt booked .

    Big thanks in advance
