From what i have gathered form an interview i heard on a Lafayette radion station today many out of state recruits are shying away from LSU all of a sudden and perhaps it has to do with the fears some parents have concerning the states vulnerability to hurricanes. I know this seems far fetched but this is what i have heard on the alafayette radion station. Katrina can be thanked again for just another problem she has caused to our great state. I truly believe that New 0rleans and La wll be back and better than ever but it will just take a little time. To all you recruits out there you will be missing an opportunity to attend a great university if you do not consider L S U. You will also be passing up a chance to play foootball in one of the greatest football venues in the country. A football Saturday night in Tiger Stadium is unique and the opportunity to play there is a once in a llfetime chance. Give L S U a chance to show you what we can really offer you.

I honestly do not believe Katrina will have a huge negative impact on out-of-state recruiting. Baton Rouge is not New Orleans. We are about 180 miles from the coast and don't sustain the big hits that New Orleans and points south are subject to.
