Probably because we throw for 300 yards once every decade and they do it every week. It's about the numbers for many.
SBNation says DT Justin Manning who didn't make the trip has eliminated LSU, focusing on; OK, TCU, and aTm.
He was mad at LSU because we told him he could come visit later but not for Bama game. We knew he wasn't sincere in his interest.
Has very little to do with joining the SEC. All the other teams in Texas suck, the recruits have to go somewhere, and aTm happened to win a lot games. If UT's and aTm's records were reversed, so would a lot of recruits.
I don't know I think given the chance most big time recruits would rather play in the sec than the big 12!
While that may be true for defensive players, I think big time offensive players want the opposite. You see high profile players on the defensive side of the ball leave home for the SEC fairly regularly. It's pretty rare for a QB, RB, or WR leave their home state to play in the SEC. Hell, sometimes they leave Louisiana and Alabama to go to USC and FSU(Joe McKnight/Jameis Winston). Alabama's recruiting will never get better than it is right now, and they couldn't keep the best high school QB in the the nation from going to FSU.
