Hokies tailback Evans to miss season with ACL tear - College Football - Rivals.com Goddamn Bama getting lucky already to start the season Puts a lot more pressure on a young QB trying to make the next step up
VT has three very good backup RB's. I think they'll be ok. I dont think they are going to be able to run ball well in the opener regardless of who is back there.
TyRod Taylor is a junior who's played in damn near every game the past 2 seasons. Not exactly a rookie.
He started 15 games in the past 2 seasons, while Glennon started 13. Beamer hadn't exactly handed off the reigns to the kid these past couple of years and it's definitely been touch and go. Like I said, this isn't good for the kid, who is looking to have a great season. Having to take on more of the load may not be a good thing for Vtech this year.
running backs are the most easily replaced players on the field in my opinion. I'd rather lose a running back than a left tackle or most any other position. But it does piss me off that the gumps caught a break.
I've been thinking all summer the gumps are ripe to lay a turd in this game. Several new O-lineman & a new QB cant make for an easy transition. I hope it happens especially now. I've been back in the office this week and keep hearing about Sentimore and Lacy lighting it up in camp. "Man, you guys screwed up on Sentimore and Lacy". Fug em...:angryfire
