Virginia baseball player commits to LSU

    Jake Cave, a rising junior at Hampton Christian High School in Hampton, Va., has committed to play at LSU.

    Here's a link to the website that has the story. It will stay in the lead position for the next day or so until Friday morning, but it'll be around the site for a couple of weeks.

    He is rated the #16 2011 prospect in the country, so I'm regretfully guessing that it is unlikely he will ever step foot on LSU's campus

    He hit .670 and went 10-0 on the mound. We won't see him unless he gets drafted by one of Selig's slot-abiding teams. In theory, this is a great commitment though.
