Great to have the home field anyway it comes, but I still say you approach the Carolina game next week like a must-win.
In addition to ALL the reasons I want the Saints to win, I'm also hopeful a second playoff game in New Orleans will bring additional revenue into the area. Although most fans will be local, hopefully the networks, other media, etc. will spend a lot of money here. It appears the Saints have also earned another 1-2 Monday Night Football games next year. Hopefully we'll get at least one in the Dome. The Dome will begin a major renovation after the season ends and should look great for next year. I also hope the media will show the good parts of the city and not dwell on crime or Katrina. I pray they don't interview any incompetent (or criminal) politicians like Nagin. We need a little more positive exposure. Geaux Saints! Saintslogo
Disney just did their newest princess movies in New Orleans, from the previews I saw, all they did was show how magical and romantic New Orleans is. Yay Disney. Being that it's a Disney movie, I imagine it did well in the box office. "The Princess and the Frog" earned a big wet kiss from family audiences as the animated musical leaped to No. 1 with $25 million in its first weekend of nationwide release, according to studio estimates Sunday. It was good...and yes, it showed New Orleans in a very positive way. Of course, it was set in the past when New Orleans was a much nicer city. It sure would be nice for it to return.
Did anybody else hit the mute button when the Vikes were on offense? These guys were gushing so much they were all spitting like Granny Holtz.
I scanned through and didn't see anyone mention this, but Craig Steltz started last night, and had a pretty damned good game. I wonder if he was playing harder to help his beloved home town Saints out. Steltz has been pretty good in special teams for the Bears, its good to see him getting a look at Safety, i wish him well, he was a great Tiger!
