I don't disagree with the holding it too long sentiment.

Watched it again, pass protection wasn't that bad.

Dupre had them both beat. A decent throw would have scored a TD.

Actually, I think we agree on this.

I saw 7 plays with pressure up the middle, right in his face or around the edge when he was hit. One of those was the helmet coming off with no throw. So on 22 drop backs he had pressure 7 times. If he has to roll away from someone in his face and does not have a clean pocket to stand in its pressure. Of the 6 passes he threw with pressure he was 3 of 6 with the worst being the pick at the end. This might be why you think the pressure wasn't as bad because he actually does a good job of getting away from it and not taking a sack. But he also makes too many bad throws without pressure. There were also too many drops.

This is part of the problem. If you get pressure a third of the time, right in your face, it makes it extremely difficult to move the ball. Especially if your offense is from the stone age and you only throw it 20 times a game.

I still say let LSU do what miles wants us to do all of his time here (that is run up the middle) on that last series to set up the field goal and we win. This loss was all on the coaching IMO......again

I get it. He doesn't look as terriblewhen viewing all his throws in succession but his body language, confidence, demeanor all suck as bad as bis accuracy. He looked 10x better his first start against miss st.

But Les has sucked the life out of him by design and this is his end product. So yeah anyone else is always a better option than the starter they have ruined already.

You still needed 15 yards. I'm fine with the play. Not the result.

How many of those were the result of holding the ball too long? I think most of them.

Had both beat? One dude was behind him and the other in front. He had 1 beat.

He should've tucked and ran on that last play...probably had a strong 7 -10 yards if not more if he runs it there instead of flinging that one out there. If he makes the throw properly it's a TD.

I agree on double coverage but I'm a proponent of giving a supposed first rounder a chance to make a play. We don't do anything complicated enough for him to not be regularly doubled. Nothing about this offense makes the safety make a choice. Easy decision...Dupre running deep...go shade over the top of Dupre. As for the throw...I'm ok with that throw in that situation as it's essentially a punt, albeit one that creates a negative stat. Think about Landry in that situation...no way he doesn't catch that ball.
