    Fair, not fair?

The lead up to Monday Night Football is going to be brutal tonight. Good thing Tirico and Jaws are on the crew tonight as they hate talking non football. Kornheiser does too but Sports in Spanish will make him talk about it.

Fair enough. Considering the catrilliions lost, assets, needs a job SOO bad when all is done. Lucky though, where as had he not played ball and tried to weeze it could have been a ton more! I bet he is gonna be even faster when he gets out. :yelwink2: Any of that time served already?

    about right, imo.

not enough to totally end his livelihood, but just enough to pretty much end his career.

He will serve 20 1/2 months guaranteed (earliest he can get out) according to Roger Cossack. That would put him getting out August 4, 2009. Will be interesting to see what kinda chance he gets for the 09 season. Remember the NFL has to deal with his punishment after he gets out. It won't technically be over for him at that point.

no way in heck would someone sign him straight out of prison and play him.

and if Roger Goddell does what's fair (he's the worst commissioner in sports, so who knows what he will do), but if he does what is fair, he will follow Tank Johnson's lead and give him his suspension AFTER his prison sentence, so I suspect 2009 is a wash for Mr. Vick. and that his career is also, probably a wash.

Considering he failed a drug test while waiting for sentencing, I'd say he still doesn't get it and the chances of him fighting with someone in jail to get the full 23 months are pretty high.

Boy the commish could not have been happy about all the falcons wearing 'MV7' on their eye black last night and Roddy White's stupid 'Free Mike Vick' celebration. I was waiting for the NFL to suspend those idiots mid-game.

Johnson served his time in the summer so he missed no games. Vick has already been suspended for this year and by the time he comes back he will have been out of the game for 3 years.

I agree Vick is done, at least at QB.

Good Googie Moogie did they devote the ENTIRE 4th quarter to MV or what? Everything down to the cell size, his standard issue pillow and the fact that "this aint the longest yard". This was an OJ type coal draggin for sure. Even Emmit Smith was driving that freight train! After all of that I puked a little bit only for enduring the entire freak show. :(

    BTW...Saints win!

Joe Horn really went overboard in supporting Michael Vick during this entire process.

Vick failed a drug test and a lie detector test during the 3 month period awaiting the judges sentencing. What an idiot, he hasn't learned, he doesn't care and he deserves everything coming to him. And no one should be supporting him just because you're the same ethnicity.

I will keep this short, b/c I have an entire soapbox I can dedicate to this, but I'll keep it short, and I really, really hope I am not offending anyone here, b/c I am trying not to. I really am.

But... why do black people do this? They support someone who is guilty, admitted he was guilty, and failed a lie detector test saying he is guilty, just because he is black.

It was the same with OJ, it will be the same with Barack Obama in the president race, it will be the same with the next black figure who will get arrested or get killed.

It's ridiculous. I mean, I understand it's okay to have cultural pride or pride in your heritage, but come on, do you see white people picketing outside of Timothy McVeigh's courtroom?

Did white people and teammates stand outside of Bill Romonowski's courtroom and chant "Free Romo" when he was always in trouble?

Did his white teammates wear eye-black supporting him?

My whole point is this, and i'll leave it at this, and I won't answer any responses or anything, because I don't want to spark a white/black debate. That isn't my intentions.

But: For a race that struggles so much to be "equal," why don't they act equal and start to blend in, instead of just isolating themselves as a group together.

A good example would be a party: There are 50-75 people there. Everyone is in the center, some sitting at tables, some sitting on the couch, some playing videogames in the back, but everyone is ultimately 'together', but also at every party there are those 4-5 people that everyone wonders "wtf are they doing here?", b/c all they do is hang out with one another and not mingle with anyone else.

And, he still may find state charges awaiting him once the feds have gotten their pound of flesh. I'd have to guess this mofo is done.
