It's true. He was offered the job. Said thanks, but no thanks. Dude played at K-State and their new head coach is roughly 90 years old. He will probably get the "coach-in-waiting" tag soon. Can't blame him for making that move.
I think it's safe to say that ole Sonny doesn't know his butt from a hole in the ground, as far as the defensive coordinators are concerned.
you mean the same way muschamp did not run LSU's? all it did was line him up a top 3 job in the country.
I guess since they are presently #3 in the country you could consider it a top 3 job. Otherwise, I would not see it as a top 3 job. Have you ever seen UT stadium? Pathetic. Capacity is good, but it's not what you would expect for a school with student enrollment that is greater than LSUs. I would list PSU, Michigan, USC, ALA, LSU, Oklahoma, OSU, Notre Dame and possibly others above UT, personally. Of course, beauty, and job quality, are in the eye of the beholder.
strictly talking money, homie. thats all that matters in the grand scheme of things to all these coaches. dont kid yourself. but i agree, that place sucks for me.
gotcha. i was more thinking prestige, tradition, natural beauty, etc. definitely, money talks these days. i get your top 3 rating.
If you guys would have got Koenning to be your DC, you would have lost out on the whole Mobile area as long as he was there...
